Inspired by ever the ever increasing honey trend, the team at Create Flavours have created a new range of honey flavourings. Noting an increase of varietal honeys available in the UK and the social “Save the Bees” trend, the Marketing department and Application team have profiled a selection of honeys including Pine Honey, Eucalyptus Honey, Heather Honey and Manuka.

Chestnut Honey features as the Flavour of the Month for May – with a floral, lightly woody aroma. Chestnut honey has an almost bitter note, making it great for pairing with a variety of meat products.

Our expert Flavourists have used this research to develop a new versatile Honey Collection that perform well in combination with many other fruit flavourings. Honey can be used to impart a hint of sweetness to the savoury snacking market, in marinades, sticky sweet glazes and dipping sauces whilst appearing consistently in the top 15 list of flavours launched in sweet bakery products.
