Create Flavours present at Brewers NPD Seminar

On Wednesday 10^th July the Institute of Brewing and Distilling held a seminar at AB InBev’s Magor Brewery, entitled “NPD and Flavour”.  Create Flavours were very pleased to be invited along to South Wales (just a hop over the bridge for us!) to give a talk at the Seminar. Two of our senior directors, Nick Dyson, our Technical Director and Nick French, our Commercial Director gave presentations.

Nick Dyson’s presentation covered the fascinating history of the flavour industry, some of the materials used in flavour creation, the role of the flavourist in the NPD process and some insight into current legislation covering flavourings. Nick French talked about the role of the commercial team in the NPD process.

Following the presentations there was a tasting session where numerous flavours and flavouring materials were evaluated.

The feedback the two Nick’s received from the delegates was very positive. Over the last 12 months there has been a raft of flavoured beer based products launched across the European marketplace. There are many factors that need to be considered when selecting flavouring systems for beer and beer based products and Create Flavours have a wealth of experience and understanding in the creation and development of flavourings specifically for these type of technically challenging products.
