Site/Procedure Auditor

We are a leading food manufacturing company specialising in flavourings. We are recruiting for a Site/Procedure Auditor to join our Technical Team working at our sites in North Somerset and Gloucestershire, commencing April 2024.

We are seeking a Site/Procedure Auditor to join our Technical team. This position would suit a highly motivated energetic person with a positive outlook, who is task-focused with great attention to detail, and an excellent communicator. We are looking for a confident team player who can work on their initiative as well as cover the day-to-day requirements of a fast-paced environment, who has experience with retailer (specifically M&S) and BRC standards and customer audits.

Duties include:

  • Organisation of the audit process
  • Conducting procedural, GMP and Hygiene Audits in line with M&S and BRC
    requirements via the iAuditor system
  • Reporting non-conformances via designated software platforms
  • Management and timely verification of close-outs of non-conformances
  • Co-ordination of the audit programme throughout the year
  • Provide support and advice to the operation teams to ensure site compliance
  • Set up and maintenance of audit templates
  • Raising major non-conformances with the Management Team
  • Compiling and reporting of audit KPI’s
  • Capture, investigation and reporting of site and supplier non-conformances, including
    close-out
  • An active Technical presence within the production and warehouse operations

Requirements

  • Internal Auditor qualification with experience
  • Lead Auditor qualification beneficial
  • Food-related degree, beneficial
  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade B or above in Maths and English / Maths and English language
    are required (written and verbal)
  • Mature communication skills to allow completion of challenging non-conformances
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook, including Word, Power/BI, and iAuditor
  • Beneficial to have experience with SAP Business B1
  • Excellent time management skills with a flexible approach to work
  • Full Right to Work in the UK
  • Full Clean Driving Licence

 

Reporting to: Technical Director
Location: Unit 11 Windmill Business Park, Windmill Rd, Kenn, Clevedon, North Somerset BS21 6SR, Mill Stream House, Alderley, Wotton under Edge, as required, and Unit 2, Abbey Mills Trading Estate, Kingswood, Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire, GL12 7QT
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week:
– 08:45 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday
– 08:45 to 16:00 on Friday including 45 minutes paid lunch break and 45-minute early finish on a Friday

Holidays:
5 weeks plus bank holidays in first year of service (pro-rata)
5.2 weeks plus bank holidays after two years’ service*
5.6 weeks plus bank holidays after five years’ service*
6 weeks plus bank holidays after ten years’ service*
3 days entitlement must be taken for Christmas shutdown
Entitlement increased at the beginning of the holiday year following the service anniversary

Probationary Period: 3 months
Notice: During the first four years of continuous employment not less than one month’s notice;
For each subsequent year of service one week’s additional notice (up to a maximum of twelve weeks).
